Albin Kurti is a Kosovar Albanian politician and activist, serving as the prime minister of Kosovo. In 1997, he became the vice president of the University of Pristina student union and a main organizer of non-violent demonstrations in 1997 and 1998.
Albin Kurti Personal Life
He was born on 24th March 1975 in Pristina, Yugoslavia, now Kosovo to Zaim Kurti, an engineer, and her mother’s name is unavailable, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Pristina.
Albin’s father was from an Albanian family from the village of Sukobin in Ulcinj Municipality, Montenegro.
In order to search for employment, his family moved to Pristina.

In 1997, he became one of the leaders of the student protests in Kosovo, against the occupation of the university campus by the Yugoslav police.
He was also an activist for the Action for Kosovo Network (AKN) and joined the movement whose mission focused on human rights and social justice, education, culture, and art.
