Hi there – I’m Amy Bronwen Zemser, author most recently of DEAR JULIA, published by HarperCollins. The book follows the life of Elaine Hamilton, a sixteen-year-old chef wannabe who is consumed with the life and work of Julia Child.

She divides her time between memorizing and cooking all of the recipes in MASTERING THE ART OF FRENCH COOKING V. 1and writing letters to the famous chef about her progress, but she is never brave enough to send these letters.

DEAR JULIAis my first comic novel and was a true joy to write because it’s about my three favorite topics: French food, friendship, and getting along with your MOTHER.

Like many children of the late sixties and early seventies, I grew up watching my mother watch Julia Child cook her famous recipes from MASTERING THE ART OF FRENCH COOKING on PBS.

Even though I was just a little kid, there was something mesmerizing about this very tall woman, with her unbelievably high voice, smiling in
