The core of this book of essays was formed while I held a fellowship at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library at Teen Murti, New Delhi.

In Bangalore to promote her collection grandiosely titled ‘La Bella Mascherata’, Alpana says, “To be his daughter is a stepping stone but one has to be good in one’s work to be able to take it forward.” She readily concurs however that there are quite a few lessons she has learnt from her world – renowned artist father.
